Hotel Happy Day 2

Outfit 1

The outfit above is actually what I wore for the mini shoot I had with my sister, just for the sake of wearing it. HAHA. At the time, I had no events to wear this to, so I just bullied my sister into taking my photo. :) Plus the top and necklace are from my online shop’s latest collection, so it doubled as a photo for my shop too. :)

Top and Necklaces: Peaches On Top | Mullet Skirt: J’Adore La Mode | Wedges: Icah

And oh, this look is very special to me as this was my first look to ever reach a hundred hypes :) (forgive me for celebrating these milestones, I know they’re just very small feats, but they mean a lot me :))

Outfit 2

Now this was what I actually wore, for the lazy day ahead. HAHA

Cover Up: Peaches On Top | Tank: Gift from Alyssa | Shorts: Jellybean | Wedges: Icah

To be honest, the 2nd outfit is my current summer uniform. cover up + tank + shorts, so laidback, yes?

On day 2: Here’s what I did:

  • Ate breakfast in bed! Woot! Waffles and croissants yo! :)
  • Photoshoot some more
  • Looked for shoe options that would match my mom’s nude colored gown by Jerome Salaya Ang (which she was going to wear for the gala night that day)
  • I had to go to school for a few hours for a meeting
  • but went back to the hotel when my role was finished. haha
  • Ate at the Glorietta foodcourt
  • lounged around the room. LOL

Goodies from Hongkong!

My mom arrived from her HK-Vietnam trip last weekend, and here’s few of the stuff she brought home. :)

First up, look at the main photo! Those are lion shirts from Giordano. My mum said the salesperson inside Giordano said that these were called family shirts, so that when we travel together, we won’t get lost because we have matching tees. HAHAHAHA. my sister and I had a huge laugh because of this. WE NOW HAVE OFFICIAL FAMILY SHIRTS! yep, I can’t get over it. O.O

She also brought home a few items from H&M, and cute finds over at the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui. :)

I soooo love getting pasalubong!

And oh, check out my photologs of Macau and HK from last year’s Macau-Hongkong Family Trip :)

Hotel Happy Day 1

My sister and I tagged along our parents’ weekend stay at Makati Shangri-La Hotel for a convention. They attended a HONDA Dealer’s Convention, where the 3 day stay was filled with activities and events. My sister and I didn’t attend any of those activities or events, we just enjoyed the luxurious accommodations, very hospitable staff, and the many facilities Shangri-La has to offer. It doesn’t hurt too that the hotel is right across of Glorietta Mall and the Landmark, which kept me and my sister busy when we got tired of the hotel. harhar. Yes we got tired of the lazy lounge lifestyle. LOL

That weekend was just sooooooo easy, (queue breezy, beautiful, Covergirl. Kidding. I know. Corny.) We had mini photoshoots around the hotel too! That was actually my sister’s agenda, to look for nice greenery, and ask me to take photos so she can have more options for profile pictures in the future. HARDYHARHAR And because I took her photos, that means she has to take mine too! So there, that’s mostly how we spent the awesome weekend, not to mention great food in between!

Here you can see what I wore for Day 1, I wanted something very summery, so I opted for a hat (which my mom bought on her trip to Shanghai), sunnies from a new shop called Charlie, a cute summery top, and lightweight shorts. Plus a really comfortable pair of wedges. :)

What we did on Day 1:

  • Ate lunch at Saisaki/Dad’s (free lunch buffet c/o Honda!!!)
  • mini photoshoot inside the room, and at the pool area
  • Night swimming! (with my sister and kid brother! He stayed only for Day 1 as he had school the next day because of the bridging program for K+12)
  • Dinner at Landmark foodcourt with sibs (Our conscience cannot take it if we gatecrash the Honda Dinner Buffet at one of the function rooms of the hotel, so we ate out and let our parents get to their buffet dinner. ogles.)

Summer Splash (I Love Koi!)
Hello folks!

Dress (used as top): Sugar, SM Dept. Store | Peach Pleated Maxi Skirt, Collar Necklace, & Rings: Peaches On Top | Belt: MANGO | Boots: ZARA | Bag: Charles & Keith

I was invited to attend the Koi Swimwear Style Icon Line Launch at Prive Luxury Club last month, and I must say, despite a few mishaps, I enjoyed the event. The venue was packed, and everyone was indeed in their best summer glam outfit, which was the attire for the said event. :)

For my look, I tried going for boho chic since I don’t think I’ve ever tried it before, and I was pretty happy with the result. What do you think?

the photo above was actually taken at the fashion show finale, who: the Style Icons, with the event host, AND the beautiful faces behind the Koi Swimwear brand, Jade and Lace, in dead center. :)

The Met Gala! Click thumbs for my choices of noteworthy looks :)

Gisele Bundchen is my choice for best dressed because a) she looks stunning in her black gown, and b) she accessorized her already lovely self with hot hubby Tom Brady.

Camilla Belle’s dress is stunning, but her makeup just brought the whole thing down for me. I really don’t dig her dark lips at all.

Carey Mulligan’s uber shiny dress is a real showstopper, she definitely reflected all those paparazzi flashes!

Elizabeth Banks made a risky choice by donning that heavily printed gown, but I think all those prints were strategically placed so it doesn’t look gaudy. Anyhoo, eccentric as it is, I think it grew on me. :)

I love Emma Roberts’s gown as it was spot on for her age, and definitely reflects her style. The color, tangerine, was very flattering too, as well as the slight peplum, to give her figure a more curvy illusion.

Katherine McPhee was looked SMASHing in her salmon-hued gown. It was flattering in all the right places, and the low cut front definitely helped.

Kirsten Dunst was definitely unconventional in her vintage inspired look. The color was perfect for her complexion, and the styling was impeccable.

Nina Dobrev wore a great sequined gown, but I would have preferred another hairstyle. The side bun was just too matronly for the young actress.

Rosario Dawson was a knockout in her belted leather gown. It showed off her fab figure, and her toned arms too! Definitely a great way to showcase her assets.

I love Scarlett Johansson, and her dress did her vivacious figure justice, but her choice of hairstyle was really unfortunate. Her tousled hair simply did not match the gown, or the occasion.

So that’s my red carpet report of my favorite event in New York. :)

Great Friends and Great Seafood

Helloooooo!

Kimono/Cover Up: Alyssa’s | Neon Zebra Print Raceback Tank | Mullet Skirt: J’Adore la Mode Shop | Bag: Accessorize | Crochet Bracelets: Nikita Accessories | Tassel Necklace: Bubbles | Rings: Peaches On Top |

The above photo was taken on a girl’s night out with my college friends Alyssa, Fran, and Michelle. Finals had just ended at the time, and Alyssa was itching to go out, so we decided on going to Greenbelt, and having dinner at Bubba Gump.

L-R (Michelle, Me, Fran, Alyssa)

FOOD!

Will you believe that the two entrees above were enough to feed four grown girls? Well, the reason behind that was because Fran and Michelle were were both on diet, I was on a strict doctor’s order of eating only a few mouthfuls because of my GERD, and Alyssa was just not hungry. So there you go, why we ate just two. HARHAR.

Michelle and I ordered a drink each though, just to sample the cocktail drinks Bubba Gump has to offer, (photos after the read more mark :))

They challenged me to tie a knot with the cherry stem inside my mouth, and being competitive, I did it. haha.

This was my favorite wall/portion of the whole restaurant, it was just so homey, and the decor was fascinating. It’s not my first time eating in Bubba Gump, but I have fallen in love with it ever since my first meal there back in Grade School. The ambience is just perfect, I love the whole vintage fish port ceilings, and furnishings, and they are really nice to look at when eating. I guess you really eat with your eyes, yes?
